FD SC 105 - FOOD FACTS AND FADS (3 credits): A general education course that discusses the role and impact of modern food technology on society and the individual.

FD SC 200 - INTRODUCTION TO FOOD SCIENCE (3 credits): General overview and principles in food chemistry, food microbiology, food engineering and nutrition; food constituents and properties; quality and safety; preservation methods; processing plant and animal products.

FD SC 201 - INTRODUCTION TO FOOD SCIENCE PRACTICUM (1 credit): Demonstrations to illustrate chemical reactions in food systems; visits to campus and area food production and processing operations.

 
Recruitment Coordination:
 

Coordinating activities to enhance the Food Science undergraduate program; a central point for student contact with the department; developing and implementing recruitment programs specific to the department by working closely with faculty, staff, and students.
