Primary research and outreach
interests are dairy chemistry and processing. In my role as Director of Industrial
Outreach and Pilot Plant Manager, I provide technical support and access to the
pilot plants to increase the partnership between the food industry and the Food
Science Department at Penn State. The new Food Science Building has 3 pilot plants
- a wet pilot plant for dairy and vegetable processing, a dry pilot plant for
confectionery, spray drying, and snack production, and a pathogens pilot plant
for microbial research. |
